If you have a Mac desktop that looks like an icon tornado went through it, their is a way for you to organize that mess with MacOS Mojave.  The feature is called STACKS, and here’s how to use it.

  • From the desktop, select VIEW > STACKS (or press ^ [Command] [O]).
  • Each file will go on its own “stack” making it easier for a user to find.

To organize each stack by name, kind, etc.  Go to:

  • [VIEW] + [Group Stacks By….] + [Option].
