Apple has been expanding Siri ever since it first obtained it in 2010.  But the company has been under fire for not expanding Siri’s features fast enough over the years and even being accused of abandoning the feature in the past few years.

But it seems that the company is starting to do just the opposite in the upcoming WatchOS5 update which is scheduled to debut this fall.

One such feature will be the ‘Raise to Speak‘ feature.  When enabled, it allows a user to raise his or her wrist and start speaking to Siri without saying the magic word “Hey Siri”.

Another (much needed) feature will be independent volume controls, that allows a user to control both the music and Siri independently, which previously was not possible in WatchOS 4.
