On Tuesday, Apple updated its Pages, Numbers, and Keynote applications for iOS and macOS, with the biggest addition being a numeric keypad for Numbers users on the iPad. The updates are available now.
Logic Pro X users can also remotely add new tracks to their Logic sessions from their iPhone or iPad when they’re away from their Mac. With a new share option, users can upload a special GarageBand-compatible version of a Logic project to iCloud, which they can then open on their iOS devices and add new recordings whenever inspiration strikes. Apple’s Apple TV device has added 21 new screen savers to its offering. Each screen saver shows one country or exotic place on the user’s TV after a set number of minutes of idol time. On Monday, Apple sent out the public update to Apple Watch. Now reports are coming in that the update bricks (doesn’t update all the way) Apple Watches for some users. Affected Watches are ending up on a screen with a red exclamation mark, and a link to www.apple.com/help/watch. In practice, though, even Apple stores can’t deal with the problem directly, which purportedly involves connecting to a Watch’s diagnostic port to restore the device. Apple has officially released WatchOS 3 for the Apple Watch. To update it: Put the watch on a charger. Plug in your iPhone to a wall outlet or computer. Go into the watch app on the phone.
