About the Author
Christopher James Foote was born in Red Deer, Alberta Canada. He started computing on Commadore Pet computers, learning to program in Basic when he was 8 years old. Chris grew up hunting and fishing along the Red Deer River. He moved around Alberta to Conrich (just Northwest of Calgary), Cochrane, Fort McMurray and settled in Banff for 10 years. In Banff, Chris was a taxi driver and a raft guide to support his skiing and fishing addictions.
In 2007, Chris met his wife, Denis Margarita Cogollo Benitez while travelling in Latin America. They got Married in May, 2008 in Santa Marta Colombia. Chris and Denis have been waiting over a year for Denis to be allowed into Canada. During this time, Chris taught himself how to build web sites. He built a travel guide to Banff called IndependentBanff.com and spent a lot of time on his computer and going to the beach. The Canadian embassy in Bogotá is one of the slowest in the world. Chris realized that he had to get work as the 6 months he was told it would take for immigration stretched out to a year and a half. He and Denis moved to Bogotá and Chris got a job for Bizglo.com, an eCommerce site where he works on English content, testing, marketing and customer service. He also started a home business, buying computers from the United States and selling them in Colombia over the internet.
