Well known song artist Katy Perry has released an exclusive new single on Apple Music and iTunes. The song (called Rise) [direct link] will be played during the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Perry told the web site why she wrote the song, saying that it has been “brewing” inside her for years. She reportedly decided to finish it instead of holding it for a new album, because “now more than ever, there is a need for our world to unite” referencing the recent events happening around the world right now.
It’s not know how long the song will be an Apple exclusive.
